One Way that Objectivism Can Save the World. by Robert Villegas
A few days ago, I posted the following:
Someone said, "Objectivism needs more leaders and defenders". Agreed. It also needs a fundraising desk. Not “please donate to philosophy.” I laid the case out in "Can Objectivism Save the World".
In one part of my book, I wrote
"...Objectivists must be all over the billionaire financiers, bankers and money managers. If they are going to spend their money engineering society in the way that George Soros did, then Objectivists must come calling with a better set of ideas, a new philosophy that actually values money and what it can do to improve people’s lives. Why shouldn’t they invest in solid ideas to build a new capitalist infrastructure for society. Wall Street should become Rand Street.
a. Cashing in on freedom and flourishing. If our ideas are correct, we should become the next billionaires among capitalists.
To this I envision hundreds of meetings in Manhattan and Chicago, to name a few, where an Objectivist makes a presentation to financiers about promoting capitalism in our society, giving capitalists the funds necessary for creating more professorships in the universities that can argue against the socialists and advocates of CRT. They should fund schools and classes to impart ideas to teachers and professors about how to argue for capitalism and how to debunk the flawed ideas of socialism, the government-business alliance and pragmatism.
They should ask for funding for courses such as how capitalism works, how to be an analyst, how to start a company, how to get out of poverty by producing. Companies already pay for programs for socialists. They should rather pay capitalists who will defend the system that makes them money.
They should establish a call center to reach out to companies, a team that calls firms and sells programs to educate people about capitalism in order to provide education about the only social system that creates wealth in society. Capitalism is not evil. Capitalism is great and worthy of support from the men who actually get rich by being capitalists.
I have written several books on "Finding Sponsors" for sport and entertainment. Why can't objectivists seek sponsorship and marketing impressions in the same way that sport does today?
Here is a link to my books on Sponsorship:
